Muscle soreness is a problem that can be avoided by stretching and yes, hot then cold showers – rinse and repeat.
This fitness tip works by alternately constricting and then dilating the blood vessels which helps to get rid of things such as lactic acid which build up in the tissues.
You’ll notice that if you combine hot and then cold showers – ie 2 minutes of hot water (but not burning hot) then 30 seconds of cold – that way you’ll cut down or avoid the stiffness and soreness that usually appears 24 to 48 hours after a decent workout.
Really love the Fit Programme and this webiste. I’m a mum with two kids, two dogs and a hubby, so I’d been looking for something to help me get into shape – but I just don’t like the hard dieting clubs – and wanted something to combine general fitness with more energy and yes, losing a bit of weight is good too – but that wasn’t my only goal.

I did the Clean 9 – but Neil adapted the programme for me so that it worked for me – I’m a tall guy, so I needed more than just the basic plan. I’ve now moved onto Fit 1 – I get regular support and help and my weight is coming under control as I build my fitness!
